    About The Designer

Style is in Billy Ried’s blood. Influenced by his mother’s clothing boutique in Louisiana, Reid launched his menswear line, William Reid, in 1998. In 2004, he unveiled Billy Reid and hasn’t stopped making a name for himself since, becoming the first designer to win the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund and Best New Designer awards in a single year. Despite the fame, the brand’s roots remain in the South, specifically Florence, Alabama, where Reid designs the collection with a modern approach to American workwear and cultured dandyism in mind. Billy Reid clothing is crafted in artisan factories in America and Europe.
