KENZO is the Parisian brand named for and founded by Kenzo Takada in 1970. The Japanese literature-student-turned-designer started with a women’s collection, and in 1983 turned to menswear. The brand was acquired by the LVMH Group in 1999, and in 2011 Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, the founders of Opening Ceremony, were named creative directors. With the duo at the helm, KENZO captures a youthful feel, and mixes it with the brand’s history of strong prints and sense of worldliness.
